Security is very important when you use infrastructures like networks and servers. Security must be an integral part during the design phase of an infrastructure. Besides technological security the security within the organisation of the customer is important too.

Firewall
A basic security measure is the firewall, which protects the underlying networks. A firewall doesn't only protect against the dangers from the internet but from the dangers that come from within the internal network too.

The firewalls iunxi delivers can be based on specific hardware like the Cisco ASA series but they can also be integrated in the routers based on the Cisco IOS software. Stateful firewalls and deep packet inspection technologies are very suitable to base a trusted security system on.

Virtual Private Networks
Besides the Virtual Private Networks (VPN's) that are based on MPLS and operate completely seperated from the internet. The VPN's can be build based on the SSL or IPSEC technology. The last two technologies are very suitable form teleworkers, suppliers or employees that work from different locations.

Security Tokens
To limit the use of VPN's over SSL or IPSEC to authorised persons or to give authorised persons access to an application the usage of Security Tokens is highly recommended. The Security Token is, for example, a small keychain that stays in possession of the authorised employee. Together with a secret password the Security Token allows the authorised employee to reach the secured networks or applications. Without the Token the access will be refused.

Certificates
Various applications require certificates that can proof the authenticity of an application, server or person. iunxi can assist in acquiring certificates.
